THE PEOPLE PILE
Vast, Vivid and Visually Varied, with 'VA-VA-VOOM' Vitality, we generate genuine, and richly textured performances, which are joyfully created and equally received by unsuspecting audiences globally.
Our London based pool of movement professionals include:
Dancers, clowns, dancing-clowns choreographers, acrobats, areal artists, singers, actors, musicians, set designers, costume designers and digital artists all lending their lavishes to London's visual arts and entertainment scene.
Putting fun, imagination and connectivity at the forefront of our creations. We love to use colour, comedy and dance in our unmistakable visual style. We pride in being bold and brilliant in our concepts and performances, with Love, Magic, joy, and play at the heart of our work, while being our favourite tools to entice our audiences with.
Since 2010, we have been generating generous and collaborative climates for creatives to thrive within; connecting artists, experimenting and working alongside film directors, brands, photographers, DJ's, event organisers, fashionistas and designers. who throughout our lifespan have become increasingly excited by our work and a part of our growing community.
13 years of audiences feasting upon our creations, with warmed hearts and jolly eyes. We are proud of our legacy of fine and detailed work made with exquisite artists in a uniquely cross-creative culture.
We currently host a weekly Thursday meet up called CreativiTEA from 10am-12pm in Central London with around 200 members.

HISTORY?
London is where we grew our unique community of dance clowns, taking inspiration from this ever inspiring city.  Our work has been shaped by the variety of incredible collaborative entities we got to know and love. We work with a collection of movement based performers from all over the globe. With variety, culture, truth and magic at the roots of our work. Booking integral, inspirational and sensational individuals, makes for the magic of our work.

WHERE ARE WE COMING FROM?
Moving through our earlier years, experiencing the effects of the 2008 recession, we extended our many curious and creative tentacles and pulled together with graft and grit, gifted with the luxury of 'time', our burning desire to create was supported by access given to kindly donated rehearsal spaces, from 'London Studio Centre', to being commissioned by inspirational organisations such as 'Shunt'.  Networking and negotiating our way through the harder times, with rehearsing in derelict buildings, sneaking up stairwells to discover empty spaces, scheduling rehearsals in basements of  pubs who generously wished to help us become a part of the arts movement of the time.
We had the luxury of exploring our movement  and conceptual ideas in these spaces, working with some incredible musicians Djs and photographers, who influenced heavily amongst our community, and aided the progression of the pile with togetherness and support. We played with bonkers concepts and brilliantly surreal ideas, moving with the trust of those who booked us, and the cohesive relationships we built.
A community of trust, collaboration and a mission of collective growth, built by true friendships, gluing us together as THE PEOPLE PILE, while propelling us simultaneously, as independent artists.

WHERE ARE WE GOING?
The last year has given space for reflection, and we've looked fondly upon our past.
We've come a long way. While the future will be further.
Moving eagerly forward in these new times, we are inspired immensely for the journey ahead.
A journey that cares for our performers, creatives and most importantly planet in which we call home.
We endeavour to do better, and wish to work with clients on the same trajectory.
